The Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection has announced an increase in visa application charges for several visa subclasses, including:

  • Subclass 600 Tourist visa – $1,020 (frequent traveller, fast track and business visitor fast track).
  • Subclass 188 Business Innovation – $4,875 main applicant, $2,440 adult dependent, $1,220 child dependent.
  • Subclass 189 Skilled Independent – $3,670 main applicant, $1835 adult dependent, $920 child dependent.
  • Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated – $3,670 main applicant, $1835 adult dependent, $920 child dependent.
  • Subclass 489 Skilled Regional (Provisional) – $3,670 main applicant, $1,835 adult dependent, $920 child dependent.
  • Subclass 400 Temporary Work – $280.
  • Subclass 100/300/309/801/820 Partner/Prospective Marriage visa – $7,000, $3,505 adult dependent, $1,755 child dependent.
  • Subclass 143 Contributory (Migrant) Parent visa – $3,370 main applicant, $1,270 adult dependent, $640 child dependent.
  • Subclass 101/102 Child & Adoption Visa – $2,415 main applicant, $1,210 adult dependent, $605 child dependent.
  • Subclass 155 Resident Return (5 year) – $365.
  • Subclass 157 Resident Return (3 month) – $365.

Cost of new Parent visa has also been announced:

  • Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa (3-year validity)- $5,000 (*coming in force in November 2017)
  • Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa (5-year validity)- $10,000 (*coming in force in November 2017)

Employer sponsored new visa (coming in force in March 2018):

  • Short-term up to 2 years – $1,150 main applicant, $1,150 adult dependent and $290 child dependent
  • Medium-term up to 4 years – $2,400 main applicant, $2,400 adult dependent and $600 child dependent
