Western Australia now fully opens its borders – read our update on the traveller requirements:
Western Australia welcomes skilled migrants and international students and graduates to live, work and study in Western Australia. As part of Australia’s drive to boost its economy, Western Australia has now fully opened its borders for international travellers, skilled migrants and students. The McGowan Labour government has invested $195 million to the Reconnect WA Program and is actively supporting WA’s pipeline of skilled workers in priority industry areas. These new initiatives are prioritised to incentivise skilled migrants and international students to Western Australia to help build a stronger future and alleviate skills shortages. In other words, it is a great time to apply for a skilled occupations visa in Western Australia if you satisfy the requirements.
International Travellers requirements:
- Must be fully vaccinated under the Commonwealth requirements (if you are not you may need to quarantine on arrival)
- Declare your vaccination status
- Meet the Commonwealth Government requirements to enter Australia
- If you are transiting through other states or territories before arriving in WA you must follow individual interstate travel requirements.
