Prospective migrants applying for the Australian Visa under the Skilled Migration Program must meet the current Visa pass mark. The Points Test applies to Skilled Migrant Visa applicants, including: -Skilled Independent Visa (189) -Skilled Sponsored Visa (190) -Skilled Regional Visa (491) The Australia Visa Points Test has been in operation for many years with points pass mark changing from time to time. As of 1st July 2018 the Visa pass mark is 65 points. *Due to an increased demand and limited number of Visa places, a minimum pass mark of 65 points does not guarantee an invitation to apply for the Visa. Each catergory of points have specific rules, policy requirements and/or specific definitions. For example, to claim points for community language, the applicant must have a valid NAATI (The National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) accreditation.
