VETASSESS – NEW SKILLS ASSESSMENT FEE
VETASSESS has announced the Skills Assessment fees for trade occupations are increasing from 04 June 2018. The increase will affect applicants looking to emigrate to Australia on permanent migration and those applying for Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) Visa (*occupations with mandatory skills assessment only).
The new Skills Assessment fees are taking effect from 04 June 2018 and are as follow:
Stage 1 Application – Documentary Assessment: AUD$1080
Stage 2 Technical Interview/ Practical Assessment – AUD$1610
Stage 2 Practical Assessment (Licensed Occupations) – AUD$1890
New Fees apply to all Skills Assessment pathways (Australian and non-Australian / no formal qualifications holders) as well as assessment reviews and appeals.

Baker (Retail Baking – Combined)
Baker (Retail Baking – Bread)

Carpenter and Joiner
Chef (Asian Cookery)
Chef (Commercial Cookery)
Cook (Asian Cookery)
Cook (Commercial Cookery)
Diesel Motor Mechanic (Mobile Plant)
Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicle)
Electronic Equipment Trades Worker
Electrician (General)
Electrician (Special Class)
Fitter (General)
Hairdresser
Joiner
Metal Fabricator
Metal Machinist (First Class)
