SkillSelect – 11 August 2019 Invitation Round Results
The Australian Immigration Department has released the details of the latest SkillSelect invitation round which took place on 11th August 2019.
The total number of 200 applicants were invited to apply, including 100 invitations for the 189 Visa and 100 invitations to apply for the Skilled-Regional (Provisional *family) Sponsored Visa.
Prospective Applicants wishing to apply for the Australian Skilled Independent Visa (189) required at least 85 to be selected, however only 60 people received the invitation in the August round. This is a significant drop comparing to 775 invitations on 80 points issued in the July SkillsSelect invitation round.
The points required for some pro-rata occupations have gone up as follows: (*EoI date of effect applies):
Accountants: 90
Auditors, Company Secretaries and Corporate Treasurers: 85
Electronics Engineer: 85
Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers: 85
Other Engineering Professionals: 90
ICT Business and System Analyst: 85
Software and Applications Programmers: 85
Computer Network Professionals: 80
