SkillSelect – March 2020 Invitation Round Results published
The latest SkillSelect invitation round took place on 13th March 2020. The official results have now been published by the Australian immigration office.
In the latest round, a total of 1,750 people were selected to apply for the 189 Visa under the General Skilled Migration Program. This is an encouraging increase of 750 invitations issued to prospective migrants compared to the February selection round.
The invited applicants required a minimum score of 90 points achieved in the Expression of Interest.
A total of 300 applicants were invited to apply for the 491 Skilled Migrant Family Sponsored Visa. Applicants needed to achieve at least 85 points.
The required Visa points for the pro–rata occupations changed as follow:
Accountants – 95
Auditors, Company Secretaries and Corporate Treasurers – 95
Electronics Engineer – 90
Electronics Engineer (491 visa) – 85
Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers – 90
Other Engineering Professionals – 90
ICT Business and System Analysts – 90
Software and Applications Programmers – 90
Software and Applications Programmers (491 Visa) – 85
Computer Network Professionals – 90
Prospective applicants who are unable to score high points may wish to consider other visa options such as the Skilled Migrant Regional Visa or the Employer Sponsored Visa.
