Changes to Occupation Classifications
Vetassess is the Australian assessing authority nominated for conducting skills assessments for Migration to Australia.
The purpose of the skills assessment is to compare applicants’ post-secondary educational qualifications and employment against the requirements of nominated occupations under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program and the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS).
Vetasesss assesses Occupations according to which group the occupation belongs to. The occupations are grouped into group A,B,C and so forth. Each group has specific requirements such as qualification level and work experience which must be met to achieve a successful outcome. The higher the group, the higher level of qualifications and work experience is required. For example, occupations in group A, generally require applicants to have qualifications comparable to Australian degree level or higher.
Vetassess has announced that following occupations have been re-classified and assigned to a new group:
361199 Animal Attendants and Trainers nec From Group D to F
